Phil
Jones – Managing Director, BSc CEng MICE MIHT FIHIE (Hons)
Phil has
25 years’ experience in the planning and design of development
infrastructure, with particular expertise in traffic analysis, transport
planning and highway design. Phil specialises in achieving synergy between
highway and urban design, with the aim of creating places and spaces
that meet aesthetic, social and functional aims. Phil advises a large
number of private and public sector clients on transportation and infrastructure
matters. Phil is an acknowledged expert on Home Zones, and was part
of the team that produced Manual for Streets, the DfT’s recent
technical advice on the design of urban streets. He has carried out
research into residential parking for DCLG and is leading further research
in this area for several local authorities. Phil is also a member of
the CABE Space Enabling Panel and the Institution of Highways and Transportation’s
Urban Design Group. Click

| Nigel
Millington – Director BA(Hons) MSc MIHT MRTPI
Nigel is
a Chartered Town and Transport Planner with over 10 years’ experience
in transport planning consultancy. He has worked on and managed a wide
variety of projects for a range of both public and private sector clients.
Nigel’s experience includes work for clients in various sectors,
including residential, retail, commercial, waste and the renewable sector.
He has also been involved with large mixed-use schemes and sustainable
urban extensions. Nigel can provide inputs to a project from inception
through to completion, including all the relevant technical analysis,
negotiations and provision of expert witness services at Public Inquiry. |

Joanne
Archer – Associate Director Bsc MSc MCILT MIHT
Jo has
fifteen years experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning
with consultants and local authorities and has been Associate Director
with Phil Jones Associates Ltd since 2004. Jo is responsible for the
assessment and development of access strategies, the preparation of
transportation assessments and other technical documents required in
support of development projects. She advises a range of clients on traffic
and transportation issues and has experience of giving evidence at public
inquiry. Jo has wide experience of traffic and transport planning analysis
and design, and particular skills in junction assessments and network
modelling. |

Ian
Sanders – Principal Consultant BSc MSc MIHT
Ian has
been a transport planner for nine years, and before joining Phil Jones
Associates was a consultant with Halcrow Group working for clients in
the UK and overseas. Ian has worked on a wide range of projects, and
has experience of looking at transport issues from both a private developer
and Local Authority viewpoint. Ian has specific expertise in transport
modelling, and can use a wide range of specialist software including
SATURN, VISSIM, ARCADY, PICADY, TRANSYT and TRICS. |

Graham
Dalal – Associate BA(Hons) MSc MIHT MRTPI
Graham
is a highly experienced transport planner, having worked for various
private sector consultancies and local authorities. He has worked with
Phil Jones Associates since 2003 and has been responsible for preparing
transport studies and reports on many residential, retail and employment
development proposals. He is currently finalising a study into a major
mixed-use development near Stockton on Tees, which includes the assessment
of traffic impact on the trunk road network. |

Matthew Franklin
Matthew
is a Transport Planner with over three years’ experience in transport
and town planning disciplines, gaining experience on a wide variety
of projects in both the public and private sectors. Matthew’s
technical experience includes undertaking Transport Assessments for
various residential, commercial and educational developments; preparing
residential and workplace Travel Plans; providing transport related
inputs into Environmental Statements; and providing access feasibility
advice for a variety of sites. In addition, Matthew is also skilled
in a number of transport related software packages including S-Paramics
microsimulation, ARCADY and PICADY junction modelling software, as well
as being experienced in constructing spreadsheet models to test the
transport implications of various development scenarios. |

Hilary
Löfmark – Associate BSc MSc MIHT
Hilary
has over fifteen years experience in the analysis of transport schemes
and development proposals. Hilary’s experience has included the
preparation of Transport Assessments for development projects, developing
access strategies for all modes and the preparation of Travel Plans.
Hilary has also undertaken a development control role for both the Highways
Agency and Transport for London. In addition Hilary has been involved
in the use of modelling techniques to carry out operational and economic
assessments of highway proposals. Hilary has been working with Phil
Jones Associates since 2005. |

John
Lynk and David Barnes – Senior Technicians
John and
David provide technical support to the firm, principally through the
preparation of detailed CAD drawings, which often include track testing
for large vehicles. Both members of staff are very experienced in design
and are familiar with current local and national standards, including
Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
