Allens West, Stockton on Tees – JG Land and Estates Phil Jones Associates was appointed in 2006 to provide transport advice for this proposed development of 500 dwellings and 10000 sq m of employment space, together with a care home and other facilities, on a brownfield site at Allens West, near Stockton on Tees. Traffic generated by the site will impact on the A66 trunk road and therefore the scope of the assessment and the detailed methodology for predicting traffic generation and distribution was agreed with the Highways Agency as well as Stockton BC. The planning application for the development is to be submitted in early 2008. |

Whitecross,
Falkirk – Morston Assets
Phil Jones Associates is leading a team of three other consultants
on resolving the complex transport issues for this proposed new settlement,
situated on a brownfield site near to Linlithgow. The site is allocated in
the Falkirk Structure Plan and will be promoted through the Local Plan process
during 2008. The client is setting challenging goals for the sustainability
of the settlement, in terms of transport, energy use and community cohesion.

Parking Studies – Oxfordshire Design Partnership
Phil Jones Associates
was appointed by the Oxfordshire local authorities and CABE in 2006 to carry
out research to underpin a revised set of residential parking standards, meeting
the challenge of the revised policy in PPS3 Housing. The study is due to be
completed in 2008 and is using a combination of 2001 Census data and new household
surveys to provide an evidence-base for the new standards. A copy of the on-line
